In February 2026, the Alpha and Omega Foundation launched a soup kitchen in Eldorado Park. Our goal was simple: to provide warm, nutritious meals to the vulnerable children in the community around St Catherine’s Church. It soon became clear that the need was even greater than we anticipated and so the programme has now been increased to twice a week, feeding around 450 children. Even the youngest children arrive faithfully to wait for their meals and the joy on their faces when they receive their plate of food is an encouraging reminder of the difference this initiative is making. Every smile, every meal and every child served is a reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together to care for those in need. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this initiative, especially the dedicated people who prepare and serve the meals. Your compassion and commitment are bringing hope, nourishment and brighter futures to the children of Eldorado Park.
